5 Ways to Get Ready for the Holidays

It's hard to believe we're mid-way through November. There's a lot going on in the world and in our communities, and if you're anything like me, you may be feeling a little stressed or behind this year. We're here to help! Here are five quick ways to get ready for the holidays:

Organize your spices (or your whole pantry if you’re feeling really bold!)

Nobody likes rummaging through a disorganized pantry or spice cabinet at the last minute only to realize they’re out of vanilla extract. Or buying sage just to see that you already have 2 jars hiding in the back taking up valuable space. Spice organization is simple with our adjustable Cabinet Caddy SNAP pull-and-rotate organizer. With no assembly required, all you have to do is load it up and keeping track of your spices is a breeze.

If you’re feeling really bold– go for a full pantry organization. My quick solution is a few baskets (thrifted if you're looking for a budget-friendly option), some clear food storage containers, the Mighty Susan for your snacks and Cabinet Caddy SNAP for your spices!

Start making a wish list so you can proactively shop Black Friday Deals

Black Friday sales are a great time to get your holiday shopping done early and at a great discount. Start compiling a list of what you may want to buy for each person and sign up for some of those brand's email lists to get their best deal.

Psst- have someone who's hard to buy for? The Go Hang It is the perfect functional gift for both men and women, and our Black Friday sale launches THIS WEEK! Sign up for our email list at the bottom of this page to get the best deal.

Do a quick toy and/or clothes purge

Did you know that BEFORE Christmas is the best time to donate your gently used toys and clothes? People looking to save money and/or shop second-hand for environmental impact will be thrifting over the next few weeks, so NOW is the best time to get rid of things. My favorite way to do this is to grab a big crate and tackle one closet or bedroom at a time. Just throw what you no longer need in the crate and take it to your favorite second-hand shop (or consignment store if you’re fancy!) at the end of the week.

Prepare for Guests with a quick bathroom cabinet organization

Many of us will be hosting this holidays, and preparing for guests is a must. Whether you’re looking to make your guest bathroom more functional for guests to find what they may need or just want to make it more aesthetic for the nosy guest who *might* be snooping, the Cabinet Caddy or Cabinet Caddy SNAP can help.

Take a Breath and ENJOY Yourself

What is your favorite part of the holidays? Is it a special scent or drink? Twinkle lights? A favorite book? That one Christmas playlist? Be sure to find moments to enjoy the little things in the midst of the crazy.

Wishing you and your family all the joy and ease this holiday season!
